A Milestone in Sustainable Development

On May 6, 2009, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) successfully concluded the first-ever EESD Conference. This historic event laid the foundation for what has become a premier platform for researchers worldwide.

The conference brought together experts to discuss the possibilities of managing the energy crisis and protecting the environment sustainably. It received an overwhelming response from public and private sector universities, research organizations, and industries globally.

First Wind Farm of Pakistan

The last day of the conference provided a unique opportunity for participants to visit the Jhampir Wind Farm and the scenic Keenjhar Lake in Thatta, Sindh. This visit bridged the gap between theoretical research and practical implementation of renewable energy in Pakistan.
